What is PET Mold Release Agents?

PET Mold Release Agents are substances used to prevent PET products from sticking to the mold surface and to ensure smooth demolding without tearing. During
application, they are sprayed or coated onto the mold cavity surface to form an effective separating layer.
The main requirements for mold release agents are as follows:
l Good thermal stability and chemical inertness;
l Non-corrosive to the mold surface;
l Leave minimal or no decomposed residues on the mold surface;
l Do not affect the color of the final product and contribute to a good surface finish;
l Non-toxic;
l Easy to formulate and convenient to use.
PET Mold Release Agents are very important in production of PET preform.
As well known, the PET plastic bottles are produced from PET resin. And most of the PET bottles and PET jars in China are made in two steps.
lFirst step by injection machine, from PET resin to PET preform.
lThe second step by PET stretch blowing machine, from PET preform to PET bottles.
The PET mould release agents are used in the first step.
